The formal simplicity of Antonio Citterio's design is transferred to the sleeping area. The Esosoft bed is embellished with details that enhance its refined character: the headboard, tapered and slightly inclined, joins the bed frame to form a single continuous line. Fitted like a glove, the upholstery fabric envelops the headboard and bed frame without discontinuity, accentuating the fluidity of its lines.
The guiding thread of this family of furnishings, the distinctive aluminium exoskeleton of the base is characterised by visible screws, which on the one hand enhance the unique aesthetics of the bed, and on the other, in a circularity perspective, allow the base to be disassembled, facilitating the recycling of components at the end of the product's life cycle.
A synthesis of innovation, the Esosoft bed also has a conscious soul. Thanks to the work carried out by Cassina LAB, the bed has been developed to offer functionality in favour of well-being. The bed frame can be fitted with theBreath® purifying fabric, the first patented zero-emission air purification technology that captures and disintegrates pollutants to promote the natural circulation of clean air. The headboard upholstery, on the other hand, features sound-absorbing paneling made of Soundfil®, a recycled, hygienic and non-toxic material that can contain and reduce the reverberation of close sound frequencies.
Furthermore, confirming the continuous commitment to identifying alternative solutions, circular materials such as polyurethane with a percentage of polyols derived from biological origin and recycled PET wadding have been implemented.
In order to guarantee strong versatility for the habits of different markets, the Esosoft Beds are available in eight sizes.
A living room system designed to define the domestic landscape in a fluid, flexible manner. The first project designed by Antonio Citterio for Cassina is a modular sofa that embodies timeless elegance and style.
Esosoft consists of an aluminium exoskeleton and a shell with an organic silhouette upon which soft cushions are placed. Its shape is reminiscent of the concept of casual comfort typical of the 1960s, while the materials and construction techniques are contemporary, purposefully chosen with sustainability in mind.
The Esosoft collection comprises eight modules that can be used as individual sofas or combined to form L-shaped sofas, ensuring the utmost flexibility in configuring living spaces. Benches, ottomans and a series of coffee tables complete the family.
