Pavoncella is an ornament made of blown glass, beaten and engraved. Mother Nature gave it a striped appearance with hints of brown, black, white and green. A crest playfully sticks up on its head. For his bestiary, Toni Zuccheri captured its restlessness and beauty on glass.
Toni Zuccheri’s travelling companions: animals have given life and soul to the splendid glass works of this artist. The decoys used by hunters to attract real ducks, normally made from straw, wood and tar, become precious objects when formed from rods of different coloured glass, masterfully ground to shape.
